PDL’s silk paper is a thin material used for wrapping delicate items, particularly in the fashion and textile industries, as well as for luxury items and perfumes. Its smooth surface makes it ideal not only for wrapping sensitive materials but also as interleaving between layers of delicate fabrics to prevent abrasion, damage, or scratches.

Our Product Range

PrimaSilk offers an extensive selection of papers made from virgin pulp, available in a range of basis weights. In response to the growing demand for sustainable silk paper, PDL has expanded its product range to include silk paper made from recycled fibers, as well as a new generation of silk papers crafted from hemp pulp sourced and harvested in France.

What types of specialty paper do you offer?

PDL offers a wide range of lightweight specialty papers, including baking and food packaging papers, fine papers for the printing industry, rolling papers for RYO/MYO applications, lightweight packaging papers, and premium tissue papers.

What is the difference between recycled paper and eco-friendly paper?

Recycled paper is made from post-consumer or post-industrial waste, reducing the need for virgin fibers and lowering waste sent to landfills. Eco-friendly paper refers to any paper produced with sustainable practices, which may include recycled content, responsibly sourced fibers, or environmentally friendly certifications like FSC® or PEFC.

Which products are biodegradable or compostable?

PDL offers several biodegradable and compostable products, including Primabake free-from-harmful PFAS baking paper and Primafoodwrap compostable food wrap.

What does it mean for paper to be FSC® or PEFC certified?

FSC® certification ensures that paper comes from responsibly managed forests that meet environmental and social standards. PEFC certification guarantees that products support sustainable forest management across the supply chain.

How should paper be stored to keep it in optimal condition?

Store paper in dry environments away from moisture, in sealed packaging to avoid dust and contaminants, and flat or upright to prevent curling or damage.

Do you offer customization options for paper weight, size, and finish?

Yes, PDL offers a variety of customization options and lightweight papers ranging from 10 g/m² to 65 g/m² with thickness tailored to your needs. Papers are also offered in custom sizes for rolls, sheets, or reams and finishes such as matte, glossy, white or natural. PDL can customize paper dimensions to meet specific requirements, including a maximum width of 120 cm. Standard core diameters are 70, 76, 120 and 152 mm or 2.7”, 3”, 4.7” and 6”.

Do you offer specific labeling on the paper boxes?

Yes, PDL provides customized labeling options for packaging. We can tailor labels to include specific information or branding elements as per your specifications.
